£1,000 Cash Giveaway From Safeguard

Safeguard, one of the UK’s leading providers of caravan and motorhome insurance, is giving away £1,000* each month as part of its ‘Keep On Moving’ competition, to help caravanners and motorhomers through the potentially tough economic year ahead.

Starting this month and continuing through to January 2010, anyone who requests a quote from Safeguard, will be automatically entered into Safeguard’s prize draw and could be in with  a chance to win £1,000 whether they take out an insurance policy or not.

The £1,000 could be put towards visiting places that were previously thought too expensive, towards petrol to get away more often, to pay for insurance or even towards purchasing a new ‘van!

Rita Sadler, Manager at Safeguard, said: “Safeguard prides itself on its understanding of the needs of caravanners and motorhome owners and believes that the free cash giveaway is a great way to help our customers save the pennies!”

To help cut costs Safeguard has compiled top tips on how to drive more economically:

  • Pack your motorhome or caravan as economically as possible as extra weight will have an impact on your miles per gallon
  • In traffic jams drive slowly in a low gear which will reduce the need to brake thus avoiding stopping and starting your engine which uses up valuable fuel.
  • Ensure that your car, caravan or motorhome are serviced regularly so that they are in the best possible condition.
  • Regularly check your tyre pressure as the correct pressure can reduce fuel consumption.
