Accountants and business advisors Beever and Struthers have been appointed by Bolton Wanderers in the Community to provide general accounts support work.
The charity, established 18 years ago, offers a variety of activities to both adults and children, such as: in-term coaching, after school courses, holiday courses, match day experiences, and sponsored events, as well as offering support to young people with hearing impairment and other special needs. The charity also operates within schools, colleges, youth clubs and works closely with several major stakeholders in many of the charity’s projects.
Following an initial contract to provide audit services, the charity has appointed Beever and Struthers to assist with all of its general accountancy business, including monthly management accounts, budgets and audit as well as providing the Sage accounting pack and subsequent training.
This is the latest client win for the specialist not-for-profit division at Beever and Struthers headed by partner Maria Hallows.
Joanne Harding, Senior Manager at Beever and Struthers, said: “Bolton Wanderers in the Community provides valuable services to many youths and adults and we are very pleased welcome it to our portfolio of charity clients. I am confident that they will benefit from the vast experience of the Beever and Struthers’ not-for-profit team.”
Paula Mulligan, Financial Director of Bolton Wanderers in the Community, added: “We were impressed by Beever and Struthers’ initial handling of our audit. Their experience in the not-for-profit sector made them the obvious choice to help with the rest of our accounting needs. We are looking forward to a long-term relationship with the firm.”
