Accountants and business advisors Beever and Struthers inc. Waterworths has seen a dramatic rise in demand from businesses for its specialist “no win-no fee” grant-finding service.
To help the increasing number of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) seeking grants for research and development and to finance expansion plans, Beever and Struthers inc. Waterworths will be exhibiting and providing advice on its free service at the annual Ideas North West Expo.
The free to attend Expo, on Saturday 20th March 2010 at Turf Moor Enterprise Haven, Burnley, will include seminars, business clinics and networking opportunities.
John Jones, Graham Wilson and Will Campbell, partners at Beever and Struthers inc. Waterworths, will advise business owners on how to secure funding while traditional providers of finance such as banks continue to keep purse strings drawn tight.
John Jones, head of grants at the firm with offices in Manchester and Blackburn, said many businesses found it almost impossible to identify and secure the grants they were entitled to.
The specialist team uses a state-of-the-art database to help businesses find the relevant and applicable type of grant to match their needs.
Beever and Struthers inc Waterworths offers a free initial search to all grant applicants and if the grant is not approved the firm does not charge the business. If a grant is approved the team negotiates a percentage of the monies received as its fee.
Mr Jones said: “There’s a whole range of grants available from many different bodies but finding the right one can be extremely difficult. It’s especially hard for start-up businesses because their very nature means they don’t have the necessary contacts and grants can constantly change.
“But if someone has an idea of what they want and what it’s for we can see if there are grants available and if so, we’ll speak to the right people in the right organisation for a quick decision.”
