SKV Communications to work with national road safety organisation

Award-winning Manchester PR agency SKV Communications has landed a national road safety client after a nationwide pitch process.

Road Safety GB, which represents local authority Road Safety Officers across the country, appointed SKV on a three year contract to lead its PR activity following a rebranding exercise last year.

Previously the Local Authority Road Safety Officer Association (LARSOA), Road Safety GB is now looking to raise its national profile and deliver expert voice in the UK’s ongoing road safety debate.

SKV was one of 49 agencies from all corners of the country that responded to the PR tender, winning a six-way pitch at Quorn Hall, near Loughborough.

As well as traditional media channels, SKV will be using its close relationship with the Press Association and new media platforms to promote the organisation and its various campaigns.

James Gibson, press officer for Road Safety GB, said:  “After rebranding as Road Safety GB and launching our new website, we felt it was time to bring in an agency that could help us engage in the national road safety debate.  We were thrilled to receive so many responses to our tender, and SKV impressed us at every stage of our selection process.”

The SKV team will be led by Senior Account Manager Peter Wrathmell. Managing Director Andrew Spinoza said:  “It is fantastic to be chosen to work with national organisation Road Safety GB. After winning a challenging and thorough selection process, we are looking forward to getting great results for our new client.”
