Accountants and business advisors Beever and Struthers have been appointed to provide internal audit work for Chester and District Housing Trust Limited and business assurance services for Adullam Homes Housing Association Limited.
Chester and District Housing Trust Ltd, whose chief executive is John Denny, was established in November 2000 to receive the transfer of more than 6,900 properties from Chester City Council.
The appointment of Beever and Struthers is initially for one year to assist the in-house team at the Trust with completion of its internal audit plan work because the internal audit manager has been reassigned to other duties.
Adullam Homes is a specialist supported housing association with a strong Christian ethos that provides quality accommodation for vulnerable people in Merseyside, the wider North West and the Midlands.
The West Bromwich-based Association has more than 756 units of accommodation and provides floating support to more than 160 clients. It employs over 200 full and part-time staff, in projects and offices across the Midlands, Merseyside and the North West. In 2007/08 its turnover was almost £10m.
These are the latest client wins for the specialist business assurance division at Beever and Struthers headed by partner David Hunter.
David said: “Chester and District Housing Trust and Adullam Homes are welcome additions to our already strong portfolio of clients. The business assurance division goes from strength to strength and despite the effects of the downturn on the housing sector we’re looking forward to a busy 2010.”
