A campaign launched by Spinoza Kennedy Vesey PR to promote the ice rink at Allied London’s Spinningfields development is seeing city centre workers and residents skate to both the rink and the newly created website (www.spinningfieldsicerink.com).
The initial “spinningfieldsicerink” Facebook group, set up to inform people of opening times and location of the rink and to give details of the official launch with Dancing On Ice and Hollyoaks star Chris Fountain, was created by the SKV team who alerted online networks. Linking this information to the www.spinningfieldsicerink.com site allowed members of the Facebook group to view the website for further details of restaurants, special offers and other events planned at Allied London’s Spinningfields development.
SKV staff filmed Chris’s skate and uploaded it onto Facebook, You Tube and Chris’s fan sites.
“We’ll continue to invite people into the Facebook group to make them aware of the ice rink and Spinningfields itself through targeting people from the Manchester networks,” said director Geraldine Vesey. “We’ll also be creating spin-off events such as when we link with the Peter Pan production at the Opera House and when other celebrities and their families join us to have a skate. Members of the public can upload fun photos of themselves on the ice to the Facebook site and the most amusing ones will win Spinningfields prizes.”
Spinningfields is the new home for this year’s outdoor ice rink in Manchester city centre - an established part of Manchester City Council’s festive programme of events and one of the city’s favourite family-friendly seasonal attractions.
SKV is working alongside Manchester City Council to target regional, national and online media. The ice rink is located at Hardman Boulevard in Spinningfields until 4 January and is open from 10am each morning (9.30am on Saturdays).

I don’t unremarkably comment but I gotta state regards for the post on this one : D.
