Swinton Insurance Creates Over 290 Jobs – Despite Recession

Swinton, the UK’s largest insurance high street retailer, has announced a major recruitment drive at its Norwich based call centre to help support the company’s continuing business growth. The centre currently employs 150 people and is looking to recruit over 250 new members of staff by the end of the year.

Swinton is recruiting 224 outbound sales advisors along with 30 internet sales advisors and seven team managers to be based at the Norwich call centre. The call centre supports Swinton’s online and offline businesses both through the company’s network of 580 branches across the UK and its online brands including its4me, Diva and Bullseye Insurance.

Full and part-time positions are available with lots of evening shifts on offer, ideal for students or those trying to supplement their daytime jobs.

Swinton is also recruiting 32 new members of staff across the high street branch network including Branch Sales Advisors and Branch Managers.

Kelly Ogley, Swinton’s Director of Call Centres said “Swinton has been experiencing tremendous growth over the past few years and this current recruitment drive is testament to the company’s success. With many organisations suffering through the economic downturn, including some in the insurance sector, Swinton is still continuing to go from strength to strength.

“The Norwich call centre is a great place to work, with lots of staff incentives and team competitions as well as offering great opportunities for career development.”
