SKV Communications retained by Coface – UK & Ireland to promote Country Risk Conference in Manchester

AWARD-winning SKV Communications has been retained by Coface – UK & Ireland, a leading provider of credit management services and country, sector and business climate ratings, to raise awareness among target audiences of its Country Risk Conference in Manchester.

SKV won a four-way competitive pitch for a full service communications brief to heighten awareness of the Conference via regional and national media and with potential delegates.

Coface selected Manchester as the location for the first UK & Ireland Country Risk Conference to be staged outside of London because of its status as the UK’s second city and being home to the largest professional and financial services sector outside of the capital.

More than 250 delegates are due to attend the free, half-day conference on Wednesday, 9th June 2010 at the Palace Hotel on Oxford Street.

Delegates will comprise finance directors and credit management professionals, their advisers and those with an interest in country risk.

They will hear economists and country risk specialists speak on economic and trade conditions from a global, UK and regional perspective and will receive practical advice on credit management.

Stéphanie Ardaens, Marketing Brand & Operations Manager at Coface – UK & Ireland, said: “SKV Communications has a proven track record in successfully raising the profile of blue-chip events such as our UK & Ireland Country Risk Conference and were the obvious choice from those agencies that pitched for our work.”

Justin Strong, associate director at SKV Communications, said: “The selection of Manchester as the first location outside of London to stage this prestigious conference is further evidence of its status as the UK’s second city.

“Our Professional Services and Corporate Finance team achieves excellent results for a growing number of clients such as Coface – UK & Ireland and this is an excellent addition to our portfolio.”
