Conferences need to attract sponsors and delegates and the SKV Communications Conference PR team has developed expertise in both of these areas. Recent projects include The 2011 North of England Education Conference where SKV’s role included producing delegate and exhibitor marketing copy, pre-conference media relations, negotiating partnerships with specialist education publishers and managing national and regional journalists reporting daily from the conference itself. SKV also worked directly with high profile conference speakers both before and during NEEC 2011. These included Baroness Estelle Morris, Ex-Haringey DCS Sharon Shoesmith, Ann Widdecombe, Martin Bell, Andy Burnham and School’s Minister Nick Gibb.
SKV also recently undertook Conference PR support for the UK’s first conference focussing on the sustainable retrofitting of domestic housing stock. This included managing the media launch of world’s first Energy House facility, working with expert speakers drawn from across academia, industry and government, and all pre and post conference press relations. SKV also oversaw the production of a high quality five-minute film documenting key moments in conference proceedings and the unveiling of The Energy House.
Media relations was at the heart of our PR work for the Coface UK & Ireland Country Risk Conference. SKV Communications devised and implemented a six-month media relations campaign for Coface to secure the attendance of national and trade media and 250 delegates. SKV managed media interviews and photography of senior executives before, during and after the event, thereby securing widespread coverage in target media and raising the profile of the company with its target audiences.
