We have worked with the Birkdale Clinic since 2006. As a key supplier to the NHS, it performs a range of surgical procedures across the UK to reduce waiting lists.

The clinic’s range of surgical and non surgical procedures are promoted through case studies, announcements of new procedures and imaginative high impact events launching, for example, gastric banding procedures and ophthalmic treatments.

The media launch of Octopus Healthcare, city centre Manchester’s first same day GP and health care practice, demonstrated SKV’s ability to bring together ideas that excite journalists while reflecting key messages and brand values.

SKV creatively promoted the service, securing expert opinion pieces, regular columns and slots on radio talk shows for specialists such as the podiatrist, nutritionist, sports physio and dermatologist working alongside the GP. Launch coverage included a detailed story in the Financial Times and led to a full appointments book from the first day of opening.

SKV’s was appointed by ITV for its Britain on the Move campaign. The results of this 2005 campaign included 160,000 calls to the action line and 1.2m people taking part in dedicated events. Press coverage topped over £2.5m and SKV worked with Coronation Street actors and This Morning on items which drove home the healthy lifestyle message.
